In support of Santee-Climate Change
Dr. Horvath was honored to attend the Santee City Council meeting on January 8, 2020 at the Santee City Council Chambers. She met, and was greeted by some of our campaign supporters, along with Mayor Minto who Dr. Horvath knows professionally. During the public comment phase, Dr. Horvath had the distinct opportunity to introduce herself to the Council members and community members present. After the presentation Dr. Horvath was approached with requests to support her campaign by community members.
Of particular interest to Dr. Horvath was the discussion relating to the Climate Action Plan within the community and the city's plans to further create/comply with efforts to be compliant.
Dr. Horvath, a supporter of the Santee Mobile Homeowners Association (SMOAC), was honored to meet up with Buddy Rabaya and John Hossick. Their mission is critical to the senior and mobile home communities in Santee and across the state.
The City of Santee held a discussion regarding the $39,000 grant money available during FY-2020 and how the money can be divided within the community. SMOAC relies heavily upon community volunteers and business contributions to operate their year round events.
Dr. Horvath is an ardent supporter of environmental issues, women and veterans, and creating reasonable community changes.
